Team’s Up – Ajeti and Barkas fit, Rogic and Abada on bench

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has named his side for this afternoon’s game against Preston North End at Paradise. There will be 2000 fans in attendance, for the first time since March 2020, and the lucky few will be hoping to see Celtic ramp up a gear ahead of Tuesday’s game versus FC Midtjylland.

In goals, Vasilis Barkas having been forced to miss the game on Wednesday with a suspected dislocated finger; however, he is fit to play this evening.

In defence, Tony Ralston starts at right-back with the defensive pairing of Stephen Welsh and Osaze Urhoghide alongside Greg Taylor at left-back.

In midfield, Callum McGregor captains the side and he is joined by Liam Shaw and David Turnbull in the middle of the park. Owen Moffat and Adam Montgomery start in wide positions with Albian Ajeti starting upfront.

The Australian has had to do without Mikey Johnston, Karamoko Dembele and Ismaila Soro – all of whom were forced from the field of play in the draw against Bristol City on Wednesday.

There are some boosts ahead of the game on Tuesday as we welcome back big players like Rogic, Edouard and new signing Abada. There are also players that we wish to see some of – namely O’Connor, Robertson and Afolabi.

On the bench: Bain, Abada, Rogic, Edouard, Bolingoli, Afolabi, Coffey, Robertson, Murray, Henderson and Hjelde.

Come on Celtic!
