Ange Postecoglou has named his team for this afternoon’s match against St Mirren in Paisley. The manager has decided to make changes for the game, opting to make six changes from the side that picked up a point against Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday.
The Scottish Champions go into the game two points clear of nearest team Rangers, who narrowly won yesterday; however, Celtic will be keen to restore their lead and navigate potential banana skin on the road.
In goals, Joe Hart continues. The Englishman will know that he will need to be alert when the home side have chances as he looks to continue his fine run of clean sheets in the league.
In defence, only Greg Taylor and Moritz Jenz continue from Wednesday night. Stephen Welsh replaces Cameron Carter-Vickers and Josip Juranovic is replaced by Tony Ralston. Neither the USA Internationalist or JJ make the bench, this will be something the manager will likely address pre-match.
In midfield, Callum McGregor starts, he is joined by David Turnbull and Aaron Mooy. The pair will be looking to impress. Matt O’Riley and Hatate drop to the bench.
In attack, Kyogo is joined by Liel Abada and Daizen Maeda with Sead Haksabanovic and Jota dropping out from the Champions League starting XI.
