Ange Postecoglou has named his starting XI for Celtic’s game against Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League. The displaced home side will be looking for another result following their impressive win against RB Leipzig but Ange will be targeting points on the board for Celtic.
There are two changes from the team that lost to Madrid, Sead Hakšabanović and Kyogo come in for Liel Abada and Giorgos Giakoumakis.
The Australian watched his side compete with Real Madrid for the best part of an hour but fell away as the European Champions flexed their muscles in the second half so will be hoping for a win tonight.
In goals, Joe Hart continues. The Englishman will need to be at his best should the Ukrainian team look to hurt Celtic on the counter, as they did to Leipzig.
In defence, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Moritz Jenz continue as the back two. They are supported in the full back berths by Josip Juranovic and Greg Taylor.
In midfield, Ange has gone with the same three that started the Madrid game with captain Callum McGregor flanked by Matt O’Riley and Reo Hatate.
In attack, Kyogo starts through the middle coming in for Giorgos Giakoumakis. In the wide attacking roles, Portuguese superstar Jota starts alongside Sead >Hakšabanović.
Subs for Celtic are Bain, Siegrist, Giakoumakis, Abada, Mooy, Turnbull, Bernabei, Abildgaard, Maeda, Forrest, Ralston and Welsh.
Kick-off is at 5.45 pm – COYBIG
