Team’s Up – Bernardo and Valle start, Kyogo leads the line

Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic side to take on Aberdeen at Pittodrie this evening in the Scottish Premiership’s 8pm kick-off which is live on Sky Sports and also on Celtic TV for subscribers based outside of Britain and Ireland.

The team is almost  as predicted earlier today on The Celtic Star and the big news is that Paulo Bernardo gets a well deserved start as predicted, as does Alex Valle (we thought Taylor would get the nod).

Schmeichel; Johnston, Trusty, Carter-Vickers, Valle; McGregor (c), Bernardo, Hatate; Kuhn, Kyogo and Maeda (4-3-3) Subs:  Sinisalo, Taylor, Scales, Idah, Forrest, Yang, Engels, McCowan and Ralston

That’s a strong team and a brilliant bench where we will have plenty of options throughout the game with the likes of Idah, Forrest, Engels  and McCowan all likely to get minutes in the match.

Here’s the Aberdeen team news with the former Celtic goalkeeper Ross Doohan in goals…
