Wilfried Nancy has named his Celtic team for this afternoon’s Scottish Premiership match against Hearts. The Frenchman arrived as Celtic manager during the week after Martin O’Neill signed off with a win against Dundee.
The ex-Columbus Crew manager appears to have picked a 3-4-3 formation for the visit of the Edinburgh side, who Celtic sit level on points with.
In goals, Kasper Schmeichel starts.
It appears to be a back three of Kieran Tierney, Auston Trusty and Liam Scales.
In midfield, Callum McGregor starts with Arne Engels. It could be that Reo Hatate starts on the left with Benji Nygren on the right.
In attack, expect Daizen Maeda through the middle with Seb Tounetki and Yang on either flank.
Subs: Sinisalo, Balikwisha, McCowan, Iheanacho, Kenny, Bernardo, Murray, Donovan, Ralston.
It is a surprising move by Nancy, one which will no doubt take Derek McInnes by surprise too. The Hearts manager will have expected a continuation of the team that Martin O’Neill had been utilising over the last few weeks.

Agreed to be also surprised with going for a back 3, from the start from Nancy imo?
Also looking at the bench allows for a change in formation during the course of the game also, by the looks of things imo?
As a club, we were looking for change, well certainly Nancy is going to provide the likes, right from the very start?
Brave calls upon his decision making, and hopefully all goes well this afternoon 🙏
