Team’s Up – Brendan names starting XI for Newcastle clash

Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team for this afternoon’s pre-season friendly against Newcastle. The Scottish Champions host Eddie Howe’s Magpies ahead of the new season.

Kasper Schmeichel starts in goals.

In defence, Inamura starts at left back with Tony Ralston at right back. Dane Murray starts at centre back with Auston Trusty.

Callum McGregor starts in the middle with Luke McCowan and Arne Engels.

In attack, Johnny Kenny leads the line with Yang and Maeda on the wings.

Subs: Sinisalo, Doohan, Clarke, Scales, Nygren, Idah, Osmand, Tilio, Bernardo, Summers, Montgomery, Hatate, McPherson, Ure, Forrest, Donovan, Tierney.
