Team’s Up – Brendan Rodgers names Celtic team to face Aberdeen

Brendan Rodgers has named the Celtic team to face Aberdeen this afternoon. The Irishman has made two changes from the side that was soundly beaten by Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

The Scottish Champions are unbeaten in the Cinch Premiership; however, come into the game on the back of a difficult night in Europe. To rub salt into Celtic’s wounds, Daizen Maeda has been ruled out for injuring his medial cruciate ligament.

In goals, Joe Hart starts.

In defence, Alistair Johnston continues at right back with Greg Taylor at left back and a central pairing of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales in what is an unchanged back line.

In midfield, Rodgers has decided to go with Odin Thiago Holm beside Matt O’Riley and skipper Callum McGregor.

In attack, Kyogo starts through the middle with Yang  and Luis Palma on the wings.

On the bench: Bain, Phillips, Turnbull, Tomoki, Oh, Bernabei, Forrest, Ralston.

Rodgers will be going that his side can bounce back from the disappointing result during the week and record all three points ahead of the international break.
