Team’s Up – Christie’s back, Edouard starts as Rogic benched

Ange Postecoglou has named his side for this afternoon’s game against St Mirren at Celtic Park. After the win over AZ Alkmaar during the week, the Celtic manager will be targeting a sixth consecutive win as he looks to dispatch the Paisley side. The manager has made two changes with Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie coming into the team for James Forrest and Tom Rogic.

In goals, Joe Hart starts between the sticks having made a couple of impressive saves against AZ.

In defence, Carl Starfelt and Stephen Welsh continue as Ange’s preferred defensive pairing in the absence of Christopher Jullien. Anthony Ralston continues at right-back following another impressive showing in the Hoops in midweek with Greg Taylor on the left hand side.

In midfield, captain Callum McGregor is joined by David Turnbull and the returning Ryan Christie.

In attack, Kyogo Furuhashi starts on the left with Liel Abada on the right. Odsonne Edouard starts in the central role.

On the bench: Bain, Bitton, Ajeti, Soro, Rogic, Montgomery, Urhoghide.

James Forrest hasn’t even made the bench, perhaps he is being rested after scoring in the midweek win.

The manager will be hoping for another impressive performance before new recruits arrive this week. Josip Juranovic will likely be in attendance at the match today as Ange gets a defensive signing in the door.

Come on Celtic!
