Team’s Up – Duffy, Edouard benched for Ajer and Ajeti

NEIL LENNON has named his side for today’s game versus Motherwell at Fir Park. The Scottish Champions will be hoping to bounce back from the shock defeat to Sparta Prague in the Europa League, which effectively ends this season’s European campaign. Lennon has decided to make a couple of changes for the game against Stephen Robinson’s side.

In goals, he has decided to go with Scott Bain, appearing to make the 28-year-old the No.1. Vasilis Barkas had been benched for the last three games against Lille, Aberdeen and Sparta Prague following a shoulder injury but hasn’t retained his spot.

In defence, Shane Duffy drops out to be replaced by Kris Ajer. It is the right call to bring Duffy out of the firing line. Ajer is joined by Bitton, Laxalt and Frimpong.

In midfield, Scott Brown, Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor.

In attack, Odsonne Edouard drops to the bench for Albian Ajeti in the striking role, whilst wide attackers are Ryan Christie and Moi Elyounoussi.

On the bench: Barkas, Taylor, Duffy, Griffiths, Klimala, Turnbull, Ntcham, Edouard and Elhamed.

Celtic are joint second with Aberdeen, but a win today will put Celtic within six points of leaders Rangers, who play later this afternoon. Celtic drew 3-3 on their last outing versus Aberdeen before missing a game due to being on Scottish Cup duty, which allowed Rangers to stretch their lead.

Lennon has received criticism from supporters and pundits in recent weeks after a sluggish start to the season in which Celtic have been poor, not registering a shot on target against Rangers.
