Team’s Up – Forrest starts for Champions at Ibrox, no Kühn

Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team for this afternoon’s Glasgow Derby against theRangers. The Scottish Champions secured the title last weekend with a resounding win at Tannadice and will want to rub it in today.

Celtic are without Jota, Kasper Schmeichel, Alistair Johnston and Nicolas Kühn but the manager still has a strong team to put out.

Vil Sinisalo starts in goals. The Finnish stopper has impressed since coming into the team. An expected back line of Greg Taylor, Liam Scales and Cameron Carter-Vickers with Tony Ralston coming in for the injured AJ. In midfield, Callum McGregor starts in the heart of the middle three with Arne Engels and Reo Hatate. In attack, Adam Idah starts through the middle with Daizen Maeda out left and James Forrest out right.

Subs: Bain, Trusty, Yang, McCowan, Schlupp, Nawrocki, Kenny, Bernardo, McArdle.

Forrest is still looking for that goal to make it 16 successive campaigns in which he’s found the net for Celtic. What a day to do it. While there is merely pride at stake, Celtic will want to get back to winning ways in the fixture.
