Team’s Up – Idah, Maeda start for Bayern clash, Jota on bench

Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team for this evening’s UEFA Champions League Playoff first leg against Bayern Munich. The Scottish Champions will be looking to get a result to take to Bavaria to face the six-time European Champions.

Kasper Schmeichel starts in goals. An impressive display from the Dane and his backline is essential for a result against the Germans.

Auston Trusty and Cameron Carter-Vickers start at the heart of the Celtic defence with Alistair Johnston and Greg Taylor in the fullback berths.

Callum McGregor captains the side in the middle of the park with Reo Hatate and Arne Engels.

In attack, Adam Idah starts through the middle with Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kühn in the wide areas.

Subs: Sinisalo, Bain, Scales, Jota, Yang, McCowan, Schlupp, Murray, Nawrocki, Kenny, Kenny.
