Team’s Up – Jim Goodwin names Dundee Utd XI for Celtic clash

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin has named his starting XI for this afternoon’s Scottish Premiership clash with Celtic. United are targeting third place while Celtic look to clinch the title at Tannadice.

Goodwin has named his team as he looks to frustrate Celtic in a similar manner to the 0-0 draw back in December.

Dundee United: Walton, Strain, Sevelj, Adegboyega, Sibbald, Campbell, Docherty, Ferry, Middleton, Paton, Dalby.

Subs: Richards, Trapanovski, Moult, Babunski, Fotheringham, Van der Sande, Gallagher, Cleall-Harding.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has made two changes from the side that thrashed St Johnstone with Nicolas Kühn and Jota coming in for James Forrest and Adam Idah.

Celtic: Sinisalo, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor, McGregor, Hatate, Engels, Kühn, Maeda, Jota.

Subs: Bain, Trusty, Forrest, Idah, McCowan, Schlupp, Bernardo, Ralston, Kenny.

As Brendan explained in his interview with Celtic TV, he expects Jim Goodwin’s side to set up in zonally with his team sitting deep. That would explain the inclusion of Kühn and Jota.
