Team’s Up: Jimmy Thelin names Aberdeen XI for Celtic clash

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin has named his Starting XI for this evening’s League Cup Semi Final against Celtic. The Swede has overseen an excellent start to the season after assuming the role in the summer. Now, he will look to seal his side’s passage to the League Cup Final.

Mitov, Devlin, Rubezic, Molloy, Mackenzie, Shinnie, Heltne-Nilsen, Keskinen, McGrath, Duk, Sokler.

Subs: Doohan, Clarkson, McGarry, Besuijen, Palaversa, Morris, Milne, MacDonald, Ambrose.

Aberdeen came from 2-0 down at Celtic Park to earn a draw, despite weathering a period of intense Celtic pressure in the closing stages. In truth, Celtic should have won the game.

Thelin’s Dons beat Rangers on Wednesday, piling pressure on Rangers manager Philippe Clement, who bemoaned a toenail decision.

Elsewhere, Brendan has named his side for the match as Celtic look to regain the League Cup.

Schmeichel, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Trusty, Valle, McGregor, Hatate, Engels, Kuhn, Kyogo, Maeda.

Subs: Sinisalo, Taylor, Scales, Palma, Idah, Yang, Forrest, Bernardo, Ralston.
