Team’s Up – Nancy makes major Celtic change for Cup Final

Wilfried Nancy has named his Celtic team for this afternoon’s Premier Sports Cup Final against St Mirren. After two defeats in his opening two games, the Frenchman appears to have made a change to his shape, reverting to a back four.

There is an argument that the manager has continued with his preferred shape but it looks like a four back.

In goals, Kasper Schmeichel starts.

In defence, Auston Trusty and Liam Scales start in the central pairing with Kieran Tierney and Tony Ralston in the fullback berths.

In midfield, Arne Engels and Callum McGregor start with Reo Hatate.

In attack, Kelechi Iheanacho starts with Daizen Maeda and Seb Tounekti in the wide areas.

Subs: Sinisalo, Nygren, Balikwisha, Yang, McCowan, Kenny, Bernardo, Forrest, Donovan.

Ralston may well find himself as a wingback with Tounekti occupying the same role on the other side. It may be that Maeda starts beside Iheanacho in a 3-5-2 with Hatate further ahead. Although, all will be revealed when the team lines up.
