Team’s Up – Nancy names same Celtic team for Roma clash

Celtic manager Wilfried Nancy has named his team for this evening’s Europa League clash with AS Roma. The Italians beat Rangers at Ibrox earlier this season and will be looking to do the double in Glasgow.

Nancy meanwhile is looking for his first win as Celtic manager after a bruising managerial debut at Celtic Park, losing 2-1 to Hearts. The Frenchman has named an unchanged team from Sunday’s defeat.

Kasper Schmeichel starts in goals.

A back three of Auston Trusty, Liam Scales and Kieran Tierney continues.

In midfield, it is a five of Yang and Seb Tounekti out wide and a central duo of Arne Engels and skipper Callum McGregor.

Benji Nygren and Reo Hatate will sit behind Daizen Maeda.

Celtic: Schmeichel, Trusty, Scales, Tierney, McGregor, Engels, Hatate, Yang, Nygren, Tounekti, Maeda.

Subs: Sinisalo, Doohan, McCowan, Balikwisha, Iheanacho, Kenny, Bernardo, Murray, Ralston, Donovan.

The manager will be hoping that his side can show some of the positive signs from the first half against Hearts and grind out a result against the Serie A side. With Sunday’s Premier Sports Cup Final against St Mirren looming large, it is important that the manager gets a positive result this evening.
