Team’s Up – No Charlie today For Celtic so Larisey leads the line

As we told you last night Charlie Wellings and Oli Chance are both injured and do not feature in Fran Alonso’s side that plays away to Spartans shortly. The game kicks off at 1pm and is live on the BBC Scotland Sports page. Celtic FC Women know that current league leaders theRangers are at home to second placed Glasgow City (who Celtic play in midweek) so something must give there and three points For Celtic today in the earlier kick-off will help close the gap on one or both of these sides.

Clarissa Larisey (#10) of Celtic Women FC celebrates her goal

Clarissa Larisey, who was superb in the League Cup Final win over Glasgow City in December is tasked with leading the line but that’s a tough challenge given the goalscoring exploits from Wellings this season. However there are goalscorers all of this Celtic side and the players will be eager to avenge the dropped points against Spartans in that costly 2-2 draw last October.

The Celtic team is Logan, Shorts, Clark, Hayes, Craig, Toland, Harkes, Gros, Jacynta, Larisey and Shen.

Subs are Johnstone, Bartle, Atkinson, Ferguson, Warrington and Bowie.

Fran Alonso is the leader, game starts shortly…
