Team’s Up – No sign of Rogic or Bolingoli and Griffiths is on the bench

LEIGH GRIFFITHS is named as one of three substitutes for the second of the double header in consecutive days at Celtic Park this afternoon. Hibs are the visitors after yesterday’s ‘first team’ work out against Ross County which ended in a 2-0 victory for Neil Lennon’s side.

Today it’s very much all about fringe players getting 90 minutes in their legs ahead of the season opener against Hamilton on Sunday. Young McInroy is the only player who played yesterday who is involved today. He played for around 50 minutes against Hamilton at left-back after replacing the injured Greg Taylor. The former Kilmarnock defender should be fine for flag day on Sunday.

Notable absentees are Tom Rogic and Boli Bolingoli and you have to wonder if these two are going to play a prominent part this season. For one reason or another both have faded from the first team picture.

Here is the Celtic team for the second match available to season ticket holders via their Paradise Pass and also to subscribers to Celtic TV outside of the UK and Ireland.
