Team’s Up – One change for Celtic in Paisley, Nawrocki starts, Hatate on bench

Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team for this evening’s game against St Mirren. The Scottish Champions make just one change from the side that beat Rangers 2-1 on Saturday with Maik Nawrocki coming in for Stephen Welsh. The Scottish defender was forced from the field at the weekend with a shoulder injury and the former Legia Warsaw defender came in and impressed, now he has been handed the chance to make a claim for a spot in the starting XI.

In goals, Joe Hart starts. The Englishman will need to be at his best when called upon.

In defence, Maik Nawrocki starts alongside Liam Scales in the central pairing. Alistair Johnston starts at right-back with Greg Taylor at left-back.

In midfield,  Callum McGregor starts with Paulo Bernardo and Matt O’Riley.

In attack, Kyogo starts through the middle assisted by Daizen Maeda and Luis Palma.

Subs: Scott Bain, Gustaf Lagerbielke, Liel Abada, Yang, David Turnbull, Oh, Reo Hatate, Tony Ralston and Mikey Johnston.

Despite Reo Hatate and Liel Abada being available, the manager is exercising caution over their return as he looks to make it four wins on the bounce against Stephen Robinson’s side. The game kicks off at 5pm and is live on Sky Sports Football at 4:30pm.
