Martin O’Neill has named – for the last time – his Celtic side as his period as interim manager comes to an end after today’s Scottish Premiership match at Easter Road…

O’Neill and his coaches Shaun Maloney and Mark Fotheringham have done an absolutely brilliant job steadying the Celtic ship in choppy waters after back-to-back defeats at Dens Park and Tynecastle and the resignation of Brendan Rodgers at the end of last month.
O’Neill and his staff have taken maximum points in the Scottish Premiership as Hearts faltered and their their points advantaged reduced significantly, they gave Celtic our first victory over theRangers in 2025 to reach the Premier Sports Cup final and after a defeat in Denmark they picked to team’s Europa League challenge off the floor with a stunning 3-1 victory in Rotterdam on Thursday night.

Celtic will be in much better shape for new manager Wilfried Nancy when he arrives tomorrow and all that remains for the Celtic players is to ensure Martin O’Neill goes out with another win this afternoon against Hibs.
Martin has made one changed to starting XI from the Celtic side that won in De Kuip on Thursday, with Marcelo Saracchi replacing Kieran Tierney in the side.Colby Donovan makes it despite suffering a nasty looking foot knock in Rotterdam.

Kasper Schmeichel is in goals and the Celtic back-four are Colby Donovan at right back, a central defensive partnership of Auston Trusty, Liam Scales with Marcelo Saracchi at left back.
In the middle of the park Martin O’Neill is getting the best out of Arne Engels and Reo Hatate and both play alongside the Celtic captain Callum McGregor this afternoon in the centre of the park. Meanwhile Luke McCowan stays in the team the right wing/wing back role, with Daizen Maeda back through the middle and Yang on the left. All three were outstanding against Feyenoord.
On the bench for Celtic at Easter Road this afternoon are Sinisalo, Doohan; Nygren, Balikwisha, Iheanacho, Tourekti, Kenny, Bernardo, Murray, Ralston, Tierney.
