Team’s Up – O’Neill names unchanged Celtic XI for Paradise farewell

Martin O’Neill has named his Celtic team for the evening’s Scottish Premiership clash with Dundee. The Irishman returned to the Celtic Park dugout last month after answering the club’s SOS in the wake of Brendan Rodgers’ shock departure.

O’Neill has steadied the Celtic ship, helping them to close the gap on Hearts, beat Rangers in the LC Semi and beat Feyenoord away from home. The 73-year-old has only enhanced his reputation at the club and hopefully he is rewarded with a win at Celtic Park tonight.

In goals, Kasper Schmeichel starts. The Dane will be hoping to record a clean sheet after conceding from the spot against Hibs.

In defence, Auston Trusty and Liam Scales are partnered together in the central pairing with Colby Donovan and Marcelo Saracchi in the fullback berths.

In midfield, skipper Callum McGregor starts with Arne Engels alongside Reo Hatate, who sits slightly ahead of the deep lying pair.

In attack, Daizen Maeda starts through the middle with Yang on the left and Luke McCowan on the right.

Subs: Sinisalo, Nygren, Balikwisha, Tounekti, Kenny, Bernardo, Murray, Ralston, Tierney.

MON’s team will be looking for three points to set up Sunday’s meeting with Hearts, which could result see Celtic go top. Albeit, it will likely be Wilfried Nancy that takes the club.

Come on Celtic!
