Team’s Up – Phillips, Forrest & Turnbull start

Brendan Rodgers has named his side for this evening’s game against St Mirren. The manager has decided to make three changes from the team that drew 0-0 at Easter Road.

In goals, Joe Hart starts.

In defence, Nat Phillips comes in for Cameron Carter-Vickers, who is absent from the Matchday squad. The Liverpool loanee joins Liam Scales at the back with Greg Taylor and Alistair Johnston.

In midfield, Callum McGregor is joined by Matt O’Riley and David Turnbull.

In attack, Kyogo starts through the middle with Luis Palma and James Forrest on the wings.

On the bench: Scott Bain, Yang, Odin Thiago Holm, Maik Nawrocki, Oh, Tomoki Iwata, Paolo Bernardo, Daizen Maeda, Tony Ralston.

Hopefully the absence of Carter-Vickers is merely a case of shifting game time amongst the squad. However, the absence of Gustaf Lagerbielke may be indicative of Rodgers’ view on the young Swede.

Celtic will be keen to record maximum points this evening amidst the backdrop of the Green Brigade’s ban. The club decided to make the call after a number of events, which the group disputes.
