Team’s Up – Ralston starts for Scotland in must win clash

Celtic defender Tony Ralston has been named in Steve Clarke’s Scotland side for this evening’s game against Poland. Ralston was impressive in Friday night’s 1-0 win over Croatia as Scotland set up a must-win clash in Warsaw tonight.

Clarke has made two changes to the side that won at Hampden with John McGinn replacing Ryan Christie and Tommy Conway missing out to Lyndon Dykes.

In goals, Celtic Invincible Craig Gordon starts. The 41-year-old reclaimed his role as Hearts and Scotland number one this year and does not looking to be slowing down.

In defence, Ralston starts at right back with Andy Robertson at left back. John Souttar and Grant Hanley make up the central pairing.

In midfield, Scott McTominay starts in midfield three with Kenny McLean and Billy Gilmour. It is a noticeably weaker midfield without Callum McGregor but Scotland will need to make do without the retired Celtic skipper.

Lyndon Dykes starts through the middle with Ben Doak out right and John McGinn coming in off the left.

Subs: Slicker, McCrorie, Christie, Conway, Shankland, Taylor, Barron, Porteous, McKenna, Armstrong, Gauld, Devlin.
