Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team for this evening’s UEFA Champions League game against Atletico Madrid. The Irishman has witnessed his side put in two impressive displays in their opening two matches but be left empty-handed. After the weekend’s emphatic win over Hearts, Rodgers has opted to stick with the same team.
Celtic: Hart; A. Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor; O’Riley, McGregor, Hatate; Maeda, Furuhashi, Palma
In goals – Joe Hart starts. The Englishman will likely have key moments in the game and, hopefully, he can show his class and help the team towards victory.

In defence – Cameron Carter-Vickers starts alongside Liam Scales in the central pairing. Alistair Johnston and Greg Taylor start in the full-back berths.

In midfield – Callum McGregor starts in the middle of the park. Matt O’Riley and Reo Hatate join the Celtic captain and complete the midfield three.
In attack – Kyogo starts through the middle with Luis Palma and Daizen Maeda on the flanks.
On the bench –
Bain, Morrison, Lagerbielke, Phillips, Yang, Turnbull, Oh, Tomoki, Bernardo, Forrest, Ralston and Mickey Johnston.
The game kicks off at 8pm (Celtic Park Time) and for those that are not going, the game will be on TNT Sports 3, with coverage starting at 7:30pm.
