Team’s Up – Starts for Otto and Chance with Tajonar in goals

Fran Alonso gives a first start of the season to New Zealand international midfielder Olivia Chance and American defender Taylor Otto gets her first start for the Celtic FC Women’s side against Spartans this afternoon.

Pam Tajonar makes her official debut in goals as a Celtic player after completing her transfer from Villarreal on Thursday. The vastly experienced Mexican international keeper played last weekend as a trialist before her visa paperwork came through.

With Caitlin Hayes, Kelly Clark and Chloe Craig at the back there a solidity and plenty of experience in today’s team. Young Tiree Burchill drops to the bench after impressing in the opening two fixtures as Fran Alonso fulfils his promise to rotate the squad.

Lucy Ashworth-Clifford retains her place down the left hand side after two impressive starts, scoring the opener against Patrick Thistle last Sunday too!

Otto and Chance are joined by Lisa Robertson in the middle of the park while the front three of Jacynta, Clarissa Larisey and Amy Gallacher will be hungry for goals.

The match has just kicked-off at 12noon and you can watch via the BBC Scotland website.
