Team’s Up – Stephen Robinson names St Mirren XI for Celtic clash

Stephen Robinson has named his St Mirren team for this afternoon’s Premiership meeting at Celtic Park. The Paisley side beat Rangers on Boxing Day but then slipped to defeats against Dundee and Kilmarnock.

Robinson’s teams are always difficult to play against and they’ll look to frustrate Celtic.

St Mirren: Hemming, Fraser, Gogic, Taylor, Bwomono, Philipps, O’Hara, Boyd-Munce, Tanser, Kiltie, Olusanya.

Subs: Urminsky, Iacovitti, John, Smyth, Idowu, Ayunga, Mooney, Mandron, Oseni.

The Buddies will be without goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe, who has been recalled by parent club Brentford FC. Goalie Zach Hemming was signed on loan and starts this afternoon on his return to St Mirren.

Meanwhile, Brendan has made four changes from the side that lost at Ibrox. The manager has decided to bring Adam Idah, Luke McCowan, Arne Engels and Auston Trusty into the team with Kyogo, Reo Hatate, Paulo Bernardo and Liam Scales dropping to the bench.

Celtic: Schmeichel, Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Trusty, Taylor, McGregor, McCowan, Engels, Kühn, Maeda, Idah.

Subs: Sinisalo, Scales, Palma, Kyogo, Valle, Yang, Bernardo, Hatate, Ralston.
