Team’s Up – Three Amigos start at Hampden

Ange Postecoglou has named his team for this evening’s Premier Sports League Cup Semi-Final against St Johnstone. The boss has decided to let his three amigos loose in attack as Celtic look to dump holders St Johnstone out of the League Cup.

In goals, Joe Hart continues between the sticks for the Celts.

In defence, Anthony Ralston starts at right-back after making his Scotland debut on Monday at Denmark. At left-back, Josip Juranovic starts after helping Croatia to the World Cup.

In midfield, Nir Bitton starts at the base of the Celtic midfield and is joined by David Turnbull and captain Callum McGregor.

In attack, Ange has opted to go with his Three Amigos – Liel Abada, Kyogo and Jota.

On the bench: Bain, Scales, Ajeti, McCarthy, Johnston, Soro, Urhoghide, Forrest & Montgomery.

The game will also honour Lisbon Lion, Bertie Auld. The Celtic legend passed away aged 83 on Sunday and will be sorely missed by all associated with the club. A minute of applause will be held before kick-off, celebrating the life of a great man and an excellent footballer. The fans have arranged a display before the game and also on the 67th minute as the players will be kitted out with his No.10 on their shorts. It has been 52 years since Celtic faced St Johnstone in the 1969 League Cup Final in which the Celts ran out 1-0 winners thanks to a goal from Bertie.
