Team’s Up – Two Celts start for Scotland against Georgia

Scotland manager Steve Clarke has named Callum McGregor and Greg Taylor in his starting XI for this evening’s game against Georgia.

Another Celt, Tony Ralston, is on the bench for the game in Tbilisi. The full-back celebrates his twenty fifth birthday today.

In goals, Hearts stopper Zander Clark is given the nod ahead of the injured Angus Gunn.

Greg Taylor starts at left back with Nathan Patterson at right back and the central pairing consisting of Scott McKenna and Ryan Porteous.

In midfield, the Celtic captain starts alongside Premier League duo Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour.

Further forward, Ryan Christie and John McGinn play off of Lyndon Dykes.

On the bench: McCrorie, Kelly, Ralston, Doig, Cooper, Shankland, Hendry, Armstrong, Brown, Ferguson, Jack, McLean.

Despite having already sealed qualification, Clarke will want to finish the campaign strongly whilst his players show the manager that they deserve to be on the plane to Germany next summer.

The game will be tricky and there will likely be some needle between the teams after Scotland’s washout win at Hampden earlier this year.

The game is live on Viaplay Sports with coverage beginning at 4:30pm.
