Tete or not tete?
There’s been a lot of daft transfer rumours regarding Celtic being banded about at the moment. Some you could say are plausible, and others are well, just plain pie in the sky.
One name mentioned today is Brazilian winger Tete who had a loan spell under Brendan Rodgers at Leicester last season. Tete has been cut loose by Shakhtar Donetsk, and like a lot of players in Ukraine, Tete has had to leave due to the ongoing war with Russia.
The player himself has undoubted ability having starred for Shakhtar, as well as decent loan spells with Lyon and Leicester.
He can play on both flanks and as an attacking midfielder and at 23 he’s young and fits the clubs transfer strategy. He’s also well know by Brendan, so on a possible free transfer it looks like a no brainier.
So could there be a hint of truth in this or are the media just thinking of his connection to Brendan and adding two and two and coming up with five? Time will tell, but one things for sure, Tete is the sort of player we should be looking to bring to the club.
