The brilliant moment from half-time as Celtic shoot jibe at Mick Beale

Celtic went into half time three goals to the good after Greg Taylor, Daizen Maeda and Kyogo netted. Although, the Celtic Park DJ produced a brilliant moment as they shot a jibe towards big mouth Michael Beale, who proclaimed that Ange was ‘lucky’.

In true Ange fashion, the Australian took this in his stride and sarcastically responded. Clearly, it got under Beale’s skin and he tried to backtrack and then double down. Ange has since referenced it again in jest but its clear that the Celtic boss has taken note.

The DJ on Wednesday night decided to go for The Verve classic ‘Lucky Man’.

On the pitch, Celtic were dominant as three first half goals were enough to down Livi. Greg Taylor opened the finish with a smart touch and finish inside the box. The left-back found himself in Livi’s penalty area when he took a pass from Reo Hatate, before blasting the ball into the net. It was shortly 2-0 after a bizarre goal from Daizen Maeda. Livi’s Ayo Obileye attempted to clear the ball but it ricocheted off Maeda and into the net from a tight angle. It might be fair to say this goal was lucky.

Kyogo made it 3-0 to Celtic just before the break after finding himself on the end of a sensational long pass from Matt O’Riley. The Danish midfielder, who came into the starting XI to replace Aaron Mooy, actually lost the ball before having it back and sending the ball in behind for Kyogo to chase. The Japanese striker toyed with the Livi defender before completing the move and netting with a cool finish.
