The Celtic View Returns As 100-Page Quarterly Magazine

The Celtic View is the oldest official club magazine/newspaper in football. Launched on 11 August 1965, the publication enabled Celtic to present their own point of view on various matters and also allowed the board to foster a relationship with the support, who had become disenchanted with the then Chairman Robert Kelly.

Starting as a newspaper, circulation figures averaged 26,000 in the Stein era as supporters enjoyed a level of coverage that was rarely afforded to the Hoops in the Scottish press. The newspaper operated as a weekly production, becoming a magazine in later years and maintaining its status as the best selling football club publication in the UK.

An iconic feature of Celtic supporting life, the View was sadly withdrawn from the shelves during the early stages of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the official club magazine is now back for the 2021/22 season, and is set to become a 100-page quarterly magazine.

The first edition of the new format is out now and features a number of exclusive interviews (listed below):

  • Celtic Chief Executive Dom McKay
  • Manager Ange Postecoglou
  • Captain Callum McGregor
  • New Bhoys Kyogo Furuhashi, James McCarthy, Joe Hart, Carl Starfelt
  • Celtic B team manager, Tommy McIntyre
  • Celtic B team captain, Ewan Otoo
  • Celtic Women’s team manager, Fran Alonso
  • Celtic Women’s team defender, Caitlin Hayes

There are also several Celtic features and a competition to win one of the new Celtic adidas tops for the 2021/22 season.

  • Some of Celtic’s top attendances
  • Famous hat-trick heroes
  • Celtic’s Swedish and Japanese connections
  • Match up the trophy triumph with top of the chart hits
  • Celtic FC Foundation update

Priced at £5.99, the Celtic View is available in club retail outlets and online.
