The Footballing God and Celtic Boss Kennedy’s take on Mourinho’s “Same Coach, Different Players” Quote

It looks like Jose Mourinho’s influence is already being felt at Celtic Park. In one of his last interviews as manager of Spurs, he uttered the immortal line, “same coach, different players”.

John Kennedy obviously saw that interview and has added his own twist, “different coach, same players.” Enough said. Whether or not John Kennedy is in charge next season, the preparation should have already started and some of those players should never be starting. It kind of looks like John Kennedy has been in charge of matters on the field for a lot longer than we thought.

Could Mourinho be our next manager? I doubt it. He is only interested in one thing and that is Jose Mourinho. There is not enough room at Celtic Park for another inflated ego.

Moving on, there were fireworks again last night but this time they were confined to the pitch. I am not sure what made me smile the most. Them seemingly winning the game late in extra time then losing a goal from a corner kick, the Saints keeper winning a header and being instrumental in the equaliser, Captain Marvel missing their first penalty in the shoot out, losing on penalties when they have only had one against them all season or Slippy’s face at the end when he realised the much vaunted league and cup double was over. So much to choose from.

We have had little to smile about recently and the Quadruple Treble has be overshadowed by the debacles of this season. We should now celebrate that achievement; the events last night put it into perspective. Ironically, if our players are lacking belief, last night’s result might just be a turning point.

Who do we play next?
