Celtic took a few new signings to the pitch last night in the 4-2 win against Jablonec – with some good signings and some rather poor ones.
Carl Starfelt failed to impress, Joe Hart did well, Kyogo Furuhashi got off to flying start in Celtic colours, but there was one man out there who impressed more than the others – Liel Abada.
Abada, who joined from Maccabi Petah Tikva just a month ago, has already gotten off to a flying start in Glasgow. Scoring on his competitive debut against FC Midtjylland, alongside a goal in the pre-season friendly against West Ham, the Israeli scored again last night, capturing the hearts of many of the Celtic support.
We have picked up a huge talent in Abada. So excited to see him play at Celtic Park soon!

I don’t want to get carried away, but Abada is definitely the new Henrik Larsson. pic.twitter.com/bVHeF8PbzD

19 year old Liel Abada > 19 year old Messi

Really impressed by Liel Abada and Kyogo Furuhashi tonight. Both provided our forward line with real dynamism and runs in behind, something we’ve sorely lacked. Excited to see these bhoys develop 🍀

However, despite the majority of fans loving the new man’s impact on the wing, they are already prepared for the Israeli to kill their dreams when he leaves for a richer league.
If Abada keeps up his current form for Ange Postecoglou’s men, it would be hard to keep him at the club – but let’s not overthink things just yet…
