Things in life Taxes, Death…

Celtic won 3-1 at Easter Road securing the points early in the game racing into a 3-0 lead and at that stage it was a score that flattered the home side. The arm of a Hibs player narrowed the lead to two goals and the loss of Tom Rogic – the best player on the park until he picked up an injury – meant that Celtic decided to stick with what they had and see the match out.

So a comfortable 3-1 win at Easter Road for Celtic is added to the recent wins at Fir Park and Pittodrie to mitigate earlier losses at Tynecastle, Ibrox and the Tony Macaroni. And as we reach that stage when all teams have now played each other once, Celtic find themselves just two points behind theRangers who drew 2-2 with Aberdeen at Ibrox this evening courtesy of a late (non) penalty awarded by the Rangers supporter John Beaton.

Still it’s two points dropped rather than three. How important that point turns out to be at the end of the season remains to be seen but we thought we’d have a look at what the Aberdeen fans were saying about the decision from Beaton nine minutes from Scott Brown’s goal being the winner.

Here goes…

Remember these are mostly Aberdeen fans comments…

“Can’t even hide the cheating at this point, pen looked soft and persistent fouling in the blue shirts with no yellow.”

“Blatant cheating”…”Standard poor decision”…”Poor is being kind”…

“And there’s the corruption and cheating in plain sight lads. Once again they’ll get away with it. Not even an Aberdeen fan but it’s brutal. It’s time the 10 clubs stood up to this.”

“Feel sorry for you guys. But you could put your house and car on that happening, especially with who tonight’s referee is. Scottish FA needs to be investigated”…

“Out of interest where did he get the 20 mins of added time?”…”Of course they get their obligatory penalty especially if they’re losing”…”Typical”…

“What a surprise a penalty to Rangers at Ibrox”…“That’s a soft pen” what a surprise”…

“It’s not a soft pen. It’s never a pen. Lads dived to try and head the ball and taken a tumble, that’s it”…”no way that’s a pen”…

“That’s blatant cheating, never a pen. They’d done nothing to trouble us second half, Scottish football is absolutely shocking”…’I can’t even get angry about this now, it’s just so predictably part of the game. What a joke”…

“Happens to every club there on route to losing to… don’t feel hard done by, it’s just the norm”…”It’s beyond blatant now”…”VAR is needed! Sort out complete shambles like that”…

Should we be surprised though?…

When The Celtic Star tried to warn Ange Postecoglou about what he was walking into in Scottish football with these cheating referees and their pals in the Scottish media some Celtic Fans reckoned it was embarrassing. They were right, it is embarrassing…
