This is Yatao – What Kyogo said after Yokohama F Marinos v Celtic match

One of the most impressive things about today’s game was definitely that Daizen played as a striker. He was once very good as a striker at Yokohama F Marinos, so it was no wonder that he did hat-trick today because of his wonderful combination with Abada and his exquisite positioning.

Kyogo talked about the competition against Daizen as a striker after summarising the whole game after the game.

Kyogo: “We were able to create good momentum, but sometimes it turned a bad one, opponent scored goals, and I think the overall was not good through the game. Under those circumstances, I think I had to do something, but I couldn’t do anything.

“I’m frustrated because we lost to Yokohama F Marinos, and I had several chances to score goals, but I couldn’t score a goal. While mixing the football style that Brendan wants to play with the football we have been playing until last season, we have to systematically avoid conceding goals as much as possible.

“I think I have to make opportunities and improve my scoring skills for Champions League. Also, when it comes to competing as striker together against Daizen, it’s our manager who decides which position we will play this season, so I want that we’ll be able to evolve by cooperating with each other while working hard.”

In today’s game, OH and Kyogo play together from 2nd half, our team certainly has a lot of potential tactics, and our manager immediately tried them in the first game in Japan. This season, we may need to carefully observe competition between some strikers we have and what their combination will bring to our team. That’s all.
