The official Celtic TikTok page has uploaded a short clip in response to Liam Scales being named Player of the Match in Celtic’s final Champions League Group Stage match.
Celtic played their final Champions League Group Stage match of this season against Feyeroord last Wednesday. Despite limited success in European football this season, the Bhoys put in a huge shift and clutched their first win of this seasons campaign against the Dutch giants through a late goal from Matt O’Riley.
Despite scoring the winner however, Matt wasnt named player of the match, Liam Scales’ impressive performance in defence earned him that reward. In response to this, Celtic posted a short clip of Steve Carell’s ‘Micheal Scott’ from ‘The Office’ saying in his usual humorous tone “Some days, I’m just on fire…What can I say”.
Scales was one of the few players who escaped criticism at the weekend when the Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers surveyed the wreckage of a dreadful performance at Celtic Park against Hearts.
Attention now is on Saturday’s home match against Livingston which requires Scales and all his teammates to be ‘on fire’ and get back to winning ways.
