Apparently all that is left to do for Marco Tilio to complete his move from the A-League to the Scottish Premiership with Celtic is documentation and paperwork which shouldn’t be an issue. Daily Record report that a fee has been negotiated between Tilio’s current club, Melbourne City and that he has already agreed fees. All that’s left now for the 21-year-old is a work permit and the proper documentation being issued.
His boss, Rado Vidosic did admit to Fox News that it would be a bit of an uphill task trying to hold onto the trickster as he is highly regarded in the Australian set-up and is viewed by many as the future of the Socceroos. He said of the youngster recently: “I doubt we will be able to keep him. He has had a fantastic season for us.”
This all leads to Celtic being able to wrap up a deal for the versatile forward very soon indeed.
Meanwhile, in other Celtic transfer news, it is understood that the Hoops are playing the long game with right-wing target, Yang Hyun-jun’s club, Gangwon. The K-League club are determined not to lose him until the end of their domestic season and have asked the Hoops to loan the attacker back until the January transfer window as they are fighting relegation at the minute in South Korea.
However, the young man is determined to push through a move to Celtic Park after having seen a bid rejected from MLS club Minnesota for his services, only to be told they would accept if a bid came in for Yang from a European club. Well that has arrived in the form of the Bhoys yet it seems the player’s club has reneged on that promise, putting him in a very downbeat mood.
It remains to be seen if the player himself will try and push through a move to the Scottish Premiership Champions this summer. It appears the wait will go on yet before this particular transfer saga is resolved entirely.
