Time for Thiago Odin Holm – remember him – to shine for Celtic

Thiago Odin Holm, remember him?…It’s time for him to shine…

Thiago Odin Holm was signed back in the summer for £2.6 million from Norwegian side Valerenga. The young midfielder, who is just shy of his 21st birthday, remains highly rated. He’s already made 11 appearances for Celtic, but hasn’t featured since the 2-1 win over Feyenoord in December, mainly due to illness.

Holm looks a very tidy player indeed. You can tell that while still raw he has the potential to be a very good performer for Celtic. With Reo Hatate away on international duty and doubts over the future of David Turnbull maybe we will see a bit more of Odin after the break, he clearly has the talent.

Brendan sees more of him than we do so he obviously going to know when Odin is ready to return. But let’s hope that the break has given him a chance to get back to full fitness and has allowed him to put his illness behind him so that we can see him more of him soon.

Ge’s a player with great potential, who could prove to be a vital player for us going forward and it would be great if he could get some minutes in the upcoming Scottish Cup tie against Buckie Thistle a week on Sunday. Bet you can’t wait for that game to come around?

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.
