Tomoki Iwata should be in Celtic starting XI

Iwata needs to start on Sunday…

Tomoki Iwata is now back to full fitness and raring to go. The Japanese midfielder is a player who looks confident and accomplished on the ball whenever he’s played. He also packs that bit of steel we’ve been lacking in the side lately, so it makes perfect sense to start him at Fir Park on Sunday.

We need those three points, it’s a must if we want to remain in the title mix. To do so we must not only have our best players available but ones that know how to do their job properly, and Tomoki certainly knows how to do just that.

He’s one of those players who does his job with a minimum of fuss, but doesn’t really get the credit, he does the dirty work, a bit like Neil Lennon used to do.

He was starting to show his worth in a run of games just before his unfortunate injury against Feyenoord in December, so it’s clear that Brendan sees something in him.

We need players who know how to do their jobs and more importantly ones who will give one hundred percent in the title run in. Tomoki is one of those players, so he needs to be back in the starting XI, beginning on Sunday afternoon.

  1. Yes will Rodgers play him and drop who adahi bernardo kuhn put O’Riley out wider or palma bring him on second half put McGregor forward seems logical solution man just fit from long injury easing him back to match fitness playing him away from Celtic park cause support won’t players to be faultless there not robots and moaning aren’t helping them through this patch where if not for bad luck then we have no luck

  2. No I’m sorry supporters don’t want players to be faultless. They want players to at least give 100%for the jersey, not hide or pass the buck like Killie game
