Transfer agreed: Celtic look set to lose another talented youngster to Bayern Munich

Celtic have built a reputation as a team who will give chances to their younger players in recent years, so it’s surprising to see some of their best talents move on to bigger clubs at a young age.

They’ve already lost Liam Morrison to Bayern Munich in recent months, with the talented centre back making the move to the German giants.

It now looks like Barry Hepburn is about to follow him, after German reports quoted an exclusive claim from The Secret Scout about a transfer:

It appears that the transfer has been completed and will go through, but there’s no sign of a fee yet. It’s unlikely that the amount will be significant, so Celtic’s best hope will be a large chunk of any future fee.

As with most youth signings it will take years to assess how much this will hurt Celtic, but he’s clearly a highly rated talent.

He’s a regular at youth level for club and country, and he’s touted as a pacey winger who can play either side.

It’s worth waiting for official confirmation from either club, but it will be interesting to see if he can force his way into the Bayern team in the next few years.
