Transfer interest in Carter-Vickers but Celtic star happy in Glasgow

Celtic vice captain Cameron Carter-Vickers is attracting interest from Turkey after another impressive display. The USA Internationalist has had some injury struggles this season and Celtic have suffered without him in the team; however, his return has significantly improved Celtic’s backline and put the team within touching distance of a Double.

According to Larry Henry Jr, Managing Editor of SBI Soccer, there is interest from the top flight in Turkey but that the Celtic defender is happy in Glasgow. Writing on Twitter/X, the US-based journalist said that whilst there is interest, he is happy at Celtic and does not have any plans to leave the club.

CCV committed his long-term future to the club earlier this season, signing a five-and-a-half year contract as he looks to kick on and improve under Brendan Rodgers. The player is a source of calm and quality in the Celtic backline and the manager will be keen to build his defence around him next season.

The big defender will be hoping to continue to bring further success to the club. The manager will likely bring in defensive reinforcements to partner Carter-Vickers with Liam Scales having proven himself to be a player capable of claiming a first team position at the club.
