Two Easter Sunday wins can propel Celtic to double title glory

Happy Easter Sunday everyone! Now let’s make it a beautiful one with  wins against Livingston and Glasgow City…

Today is Easter Sunday a day of celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. After morning prayers we will be willing on our beloved football team in the hope of celebrating a victory on the football field, or in today’s case a concrete carpet.

Today’s opponents are of course Livingston. David Martindale’s big physical side, despite being anchored at the foot of the table will give us a strong challenge. After theRangers expected win at home against Hibernian to go top, the pressure is back on us today to climb back to first place with the challenge of a Glasgow Derby facing us next weekend.

Next Sunday is without doubt viewed as our most important game of the campaign thus far. But today’s is just as important, and if we don’t manage to take all three points then it makes next week all the more difficult.

So today we must focus on overcoming a difficult obstacle we face at Livingston and then we can start thinking about Ibrox. Today we need to make our talent and experience count and come away with all three points. If we play to the best of our abilities then I’m confident we will win comfortably. Let’s hope that’s the case and we make today a very Beautiful Easter Sunday.

And don’t forget that Celtic FC Women have a huge match this afternoon as well. Elena Sadiku’s title chasers are at Petershill Park to take on current SWPL1 Champions Glasgow City. The sides are level on points, both one behind theRangers Women.

A win for Celtic today will strength our position considerably and would mean we have now defeated both title rivals in the first two matches post-split (where the top six play each other home and away).

The game today kicks off at 4-10pm and it’ live on BBC Alba.
