Unique Angle – Abada’s double, Jota’s brilliance and Turnbull’s comedy classic

An early start on this Beautiful Sunday from the team at Celtic TV who have ensured that the early risers within the Celtic support didn’t have to sit around, nursing sore heads, waiting for the latest instalment of the Unique Angle of the goals from yesterday’s Glasgow Derby.

Incidentally loved Liel Abada’s heartfelt tribute after his goal – what a lovely thing to do – and also Celtic promoting the tournament in Syndey on the big screens presumably for the amusement of the home support.

Two goals from Liel Abada, who fully justified the decision taken by Ange Postecoglou to opt for the goal threat of the young Israel international winger over the industry of Daizen Maeda; one from Jota which was probably the best of the lot although there’s merit in arguing that that belongs to David Turnbull with an honourable yet hilarious mention due to theRangers dud-goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin who is going to find it hard to recover across the city after that classic assist for the fourth Celtic goal of the afternoon.

Incidentally, the view from The Darkside is that he should have saved at least three of the Celtic goals…

It’s all likely to add up to the forthy-something Allan McGregor being drafted back in for their next game by mutual consent, suppose there’s a first time for everything.

Here’s the Unique Angle from what was a brilliant day in Paradise when every Celtic supporter played our part and the players were simply sensational. This football that we’re playing under Ange Postecoglou – our Australian Stein – is a joy to behold. Before their sponsored silence began after 8 minutes the 800 Zombies were signing about us (and indeed the Lisbon Lions) not seeing Ten in a Row.

They actually think we still care about that! Losing that title resulted in the Postecoglou era at Celtic which is infinitely more preferable than had the status quo prevailed at Celtic with a Neil Lennon-managed side under the overall control of Peter Lawwell.

Enjoy the Unique Angle and Sandman’s Definitive Ratings are next up, if he’s not been too tired and emotional to get his observations on the match written down. So there might be a delay, we’ll find out shortly…

PS – Jota’s also the Bhoy for sorting out the hacks at the BBC…
