Unlikely duo spotted with Celtic legends to face Feyenoord

Celtic Legends are in action this afternoon against Feyenoord over in Rotterdam. The international break allows Brendan Rodgers’ side to step back from domestic duties but that doesn’t mean that the Hoops aren’t in action.

Perhaps bizarrely, Cristian Gamboa and Derek Riordan have been included in the Celtic Legends squad, despite never really making a mark during their time at Celtic Park.

There will be a cameo for Pierre van Hooijdonk, who will start for Feyenoord but feature for the Hoops at some stage.

The Celtic team has been confirmed with Artur Boruc starting in goals.

In defence, it appears to be a central three with Charlie Mulgrew, Glenn Loovens and Kelvin Wilson.

In the wingback berths, Gamboa and Jonny Hayes start. In central midfield, skipper Scott Brown starts with Stan Petrov.

The front three features Scott McDonald, Riordan and Georgios Samaras.

Subs: Zaluska, Ambrose, Petta, Naylor, Wallace, Robson, Donnelly, Van Hooijdonk.

The Celtic Legends face the Dutch side this afternoon in the Wim Jansen Cup with the game kicking off at 12pm (Celtic Park Time).
