Update – Celtic confirm no other players have tested Positive after Edouard diagnosis

CELTIC have moved to confirm that no other players have tested positive for COVID-19 after Odsonne Edouard was struck down by the virus. The Scottish Champions commented on the news from France that their talisman had tested positive for the deadly virus whilst on International duty with France.

The club confirmed that its robust testing procedure will continue in line with the club following procedure. Hopefully it is another false positive like that of Alex Gogic at Hibs.

Edouard will now have to isolate for 7 days, as required in France and could return to Scotland where the club or local authority may ask him to isolate for a further period of time. It is a huge blow for the club as it means that the Frenchman will almost certainly miss the game versus Rangers at Celtic Park on October 17.

As well as a footballer, Odsonne is a person and has tested positive for a virus that has killed over 1m people around the world. We wish Odsonne all the best in his recovery and hope that no other players test positive.
