Scottish football fans are very familiar with the Footy Adventures channel on YouTube. The channel, which is ran by Englishman Sam North, gives football enthusiasts a wonderful insight into various clubs, cities and match day experiences. Yesterday, he uploaded one of the most fascinating videos yet – in which viewers were given a tour of the Estadio Nacional.

It goes without saying that Celtic made history at the famous stadium, beating Inter Milan 2-1 to lift the European Cup back in 1967. The ground is untouched, meaning supporters can get a real feel for the history if they make the pilgrimage to Lisbon.
The video includes a number of facts and interesting historical points, including a look at some of the plaques to mark the other matches and training sessions that have taken place inside this historic arena. It is then quite surreal to see the vlogger walk up a few steps and suddenly emerge at pitch-side on the touchline where no stand exists. It really is exactly as fans would have experienced the European Cup Final in ’67.
This video is a must watch slice of Celtic history.
A wonderful guided tour, it’s enough to make you heart grow…
