Ange Postecoglou spoke with Sky Sports ahead of Celtic’s trip to McDiarmid Park on Sunday, reflecting on the season so far, the winter break and transfer plans as he approaches the January window. The Australian arrived as an unknown quantity to many of the Celtic supporters but has endeared himself as a straight talker, who plays football the Celtic way.

Postecoglou’s fast paced football, as well as the transformation in players like Tom Rogic, Anthony Ralston and Nir Bitton, have resulted in a positive start to life in Scotland but the Boss understands the parameters of his role – that he will be judged in silverware. For that test, Postecoglou succeeded at his first chance, winning the League Cup with a 2-1 win over Hibs at Hampden.
