Video: Ange Postecoglou’s dressing room speech to the Champions

Not sure if you’ll have seen this before, but for those who haven’t it’s certainly well worth posting. It shows Ange Postecoglou addressing the players in the dressing room at Tannadice back in May, on the night that the title was won.

Ange says he’s done a lot in his career but nothing compares to the effort and the achievement of these players over the past ten months to actually win the league.

There’s an acknowlegdement of the tough year before when Ange mentions how hard it was for the supporters having Celtic taken away from us during the lockdown year, and points to Callum McGregor and Tom Rogic to provide confirmation of just how difficult a season it was without the backing of the Celtic support.

Ange tells the players they’re not getting the next day off but says they have to look forward to trophy day that weekend then they’ll get plenty of time away from him. It’s from the heart stuff from a manager who really gets what Celtic is all about. A wonderful listen…this is how it feels to be Celtic.
