Video: Arne Engels opens the scoring for Celtic

Arne Engels has opened the scoring for Celtic after just six minutes. The Scottish Champions survived two early chances from Hibs with Kasper Schmeichel denying with two smart stops.

Alistair Johnston bombed forward and was fed in by right sided colleague, Nicolas Kühn, before the Canadian fired a drilled cross across the deck for Engels to slide in and convert.

It was Celtic’s first foray forward and they’ll fancy a few goals today against an out of sorts Hibs team. With that said, Hibs showed that they can break forward at pace and will need to be watched.

Luke McCowan could have made it 2-0 shortly afterwards with a Daizen Maeda cutback coming off the bar and going out for a goal kick.
