Video: Ballymurphy Bhoy Given A Special Welcome Home

Hugh McLaughlin was born and raised on Ballymurphy Road, Belfast. Just over a month ago, Hugh sadly suffered a cardiac arrest, which left him in an intensive care unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital (Belfast) for two weeks. As his condition stabilised, Hugh was moved to a normal ward, where he continued his recovery for another two weeks before being sent home.

A lifelong Celtic fan, Hugh’s friends and family had gathered to give him warm applause and welcome him home with a display of Celtic flags and Irish tri-colours.

Hugh McLaughlin was born and raised on Ballymurphy Road and just over 4 weeks ago he took a full cardiac arrest, after spending two weeks in ICU in The RVH he got moved to ward 5c where he recovered enough to be able to return home after receiving the excellent care from the NHS Staff to the applause of his family, friends and neighbours.His fellow Celtic friends, family & neighbours thought they'd lay on a wee welcome…
