Celtic have suffered yet another injury blow with Kyogo Furuhashi being forced off early in the first half against St Johnstone. The Japanese star returned to the starting XI a week after his heroics at Hampden but he was forced to leave the pitch after failing to connect to a floated ball from James McCarthy.
McCarthy’s ball appeared to be inch-perfect but Kyogo pulled up and immediately, it looked as if he was in trouble. The 26-year-old held his right hamstring and was swiftly replaced by Joey Dawson, who has been impressing for the B Team.
🗣 “That’s a terrible blow for Celtic…”
It doesn’t look good for Kyogo.
The #CelticFC striker’s pulled up as he tried to reach the ball and was a risk today as he struggles with a hamstring injury. He’s now gone off.

Dawson signed from Scunthorpe in the summer and makes his debut after Celtic’s attackers have been decimated with injuries.
